Abstract: Manchurian tigers kept in Hengdaohezi Breeding Center , Heilongjiang province , were fingerprinted using inter simple sequence repeated ( ISSR) technique. Seven primers were screened out of 20 primers with 41 sites deprived , The results indicated that 31 bands were polymorphic sites and the frequency was 76%. The maximum genetic similarity coefficients among the 15 tigers were 0.526 3 and 0.090 9 , respectively. The average genetic similarity coefficient of the population was 0.327 1.
