AN ELECTROPHORETIC COMPARISON OF THE SERUM PROTEIN AND HEMOGLOBIN IN THREE SPECIES OF MOUSE HARES—A DISCUSSION ON THE SYSTEMATICAL POSITION OF OCHOTONA CURZONIKE

三种鼠兔血清蛋白和血红蛋白的电泳比较——高原鼠兔分类地位的探讨

Abstract: The plateau mouse-hare Ochotona curzonicae is a dominant species in the Qinghai-Xizang ( Tibet ) Plateau and its systematic positon has so far been argued whether it is a subspecies of O.daurica or an independent species, due to the morphological differences being not so conspicuous. Therefore we used the electrophoretic method to analyse the differences in serum protein and hemoglobin of the two mouse-hares in order to clear up this problem. An unquestionable species O.cansus were used as a control. Polyacrylamide gel disc electrophoresis and starch gel elctrophoresis were used.The results obtained are as follows: 1. By polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of serum protein,the serum in O.cnrzonjcae were separated into 18 components,but in O.daurica and O.cansus there were only 15 separated components and two "blank" zones were appeared, one behind the albumin band and the other behind the tra-nsferrin band.By starch gel electrophoresis, O.cansus was differring from the other two by a clear pro-albumin band.

摘要: 鼠兔属(Ochotona)为青藏高原兽类的重要类群之一,近年来对它的研究较多,不仅发现了若干新种,而且作了一些分类订正。不少学者,将高原鼠兔(O.cvrzoniae Hodgson)独立为一个种(Rypeeb 1964,钱燕文、冯祚建1974;郑昌琳1979)。亦有一些学者把它作为达乌尔鼠兔亚种的如Allen、Банников张荣祖以及持怀疑态度的Ellerman等(转引自郑昌琳,1979)。而二者形态上的差别,主要为高原鼠兔的头骨额部显著隆起,顶骨后部向下倾斜,故头骨背面弧度较大,另外唇部四周和鼻端为黑褐色。这些差别多为量的差别,终究是否达到了种的水平,抑或是亚种水平,实难完全肯定。
