Abstract: The giant panda's selection for bamboo resources was studied in Mabian Dafengding Reserve from 1991 to 1993 in Liangshan Mountains. Vanderploeg and Scavia selectivity index was used to assess the panda's selection for different bamboo parameters. The selectivity index indicated that pandas had obvious selection for the different kinds of bamboo species. Pandas ferpered to feed on Qiongzhuea macrophylla and yushania glauca, almost avioded Chimonobambusa pachstachys. While feeding on Qiongzhuea macropgylla, they perfered to choose thick shoots(basal diameter>18mm) and young stems. While feeding on yushania glauca, they also perfered to select thick stems(basal diameter>12mm), and thick shoots( basal diameter>16mm), but no obvious selection for the old and the young stems.

摘要： 本文对凉山山系大熊猫对竹子资源选择利用进行了研究，发现对不同的竹类有不同程度的选择性。最喜食大叶竹而言，喜食基径大于10mm的幼竹竹茎,特别喜食基径大于18mm的竹笋;就白背玉山竹而言,喜欢选择基径大于12mm的竹茎和基径大于16mm的竹笋,但对白背玉山的竹的老嫩无明显选择.
